2000 CaudaEquina App Downloads!

In June 2025, Champions Charity launched the CaudaEquina App. A free digital resource created to support people affected by Cauda Equina Syndrome and the healthcare professionals involved in their care.

The app was co-developed with Firas Sarhan, Trustee at Champions Charity and Patient Education Lead at the National Spinal Injuries Centre, Stoke Mandeville. It was created with a clear aim – to make trusted, accessible information available to patients, families and professionals in one place. We are proud to share that the app has now reached 2,000 downloads.

The CaudaEquina App includes information on understanding CES, exploring the body, managing symptoms, lifestyle, therapies, diagnosis, alerts, healthcare training, personal documents and advocacy resources. It is available on both Apple and Android devices.

Since launch, the app has also been adopted by regional NHS spinal cord injury networks and is being used by both patients and healthcare professionals as part of wider education, support and awareness.

For people living with Cauda Equina Syndrome, information can often feel fragmented, overwhelming or difficult to access at the point it is needed most. This app helps bring support together in one place – empowering people to understand their condition, manage day-to-day challenges and access reliable information when they need it.

Reaching 2,000 downloads is more than a milestone. It represents patients, families, clinicians and supporters using the app to improve awareness, confidence and access to support.
Thank you to everyone who has downloaded, shared and supported the CaudaEquina App.
